Rule of thumb: If it in a direct way leads your thoughts to Jesus, and brings glory to Him, it's not the devils work.

Injuring or losing a limb hurts a lot. So what did the Bible say about the church?

Have you ever broken a bone? Did you say: "Poor leg"? More likely, you cried: "AAAAAAAAHH!! MY LEG!!!!". I'm referring to 1 Corinthians 12, more specificly to verses 26 and 27. Take a moment and think about what it really means. To me, it gives me a clear idea of how Christians should treat and think about each other, but indircetly, it also gives me an idea of what Jesus feels when someone is suffering or lost. After all, it's His body.

1 Corinthians 12:26-27
"And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular."

Many people seem to miss it; every song has a message. Pay attention to what you're listening to.

What you take in, you reflect out, so make sure it's something positive, preferably Jesus.

Luke 6:45
"A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh."

If you are unsure whether the music you listen to is good or bad, here's some questions you should ask yourself:

  • Would Jesus listen to this?
  • Does this glorify God?
  • Is this what I stand/want to stand for?

One thing that I find hard to believe is that some Christians listen to music that clearly is very much against God. If you love God, why would you listen to something that disresprects, or maybe even blashpemes Him?

I hear God better when I use earplugs.

Sometimes you have to shut everything else out and focus on God alone. In fact, this is something you should be doing regularly.

Matthew 6:6
"But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly."

Proper Christianity is not boring.

By 'proper', I mean something that is done the way the Bible says it should be. Christians might have challenges in their lives beacuse of their faith. Challenges aren't necessarily fun, but at least you're not bored.

The goal in Christianity is not to have a religion, but to have a relationship with God, and how could that be boring?
